In the summer of 2014 I was 17 and on the hunt for my first car. I stumbled upon the blue and white beauty to the left and three days later I was behind the wheel. Feeling like I should play the part of VW Bus owner I bought some very colorful woven rugs for the interior. I used three and had one left, what to do with it?

 

 

The next day I suppose was my light bulb moment. On a whim, I took my old sewing machine out and began stitching my first woven blanket backpack - the "whackpack." Happy with how it turned out I sold it and bought more blankets. Staying up very late that week I made more whackpacks and the first pillows and smaller sacks. 

 

 

Needing a name for the brand, and having no idea what to use, I took the easy route and came up with "Keef Company." With profits from the first few weeks of sales I started a website and got my first set business cards. With a rise in demand, I appointed Evan Scheiern as Co. founder and over the next two years, his work help shape the company into what it is today.

 

 

Products are now sold in seven stores and on four websites. I've had many all-nighters, been late to more things than I can count, and failed more times than I have succeeded - but I wouldn't have it any other way.
